~ Jalalabad Star, or #1 ~

ExSitu first presents this offering of real old-time C. indica ssp. afghanica genetics. Preserved since 1989, these seeds were originally collected in 1988 in the area of Salang Pass, Afghanistan, after the disengagement of the Soviet Army there at the time.

Jalalabad Star is of a narrow leaflet drug type. True to its pure Afghani genetics it is also a highly pungent cultivar. Indoor odor concealment will require sufficient ventilation.

During the vegetative stage of this cultivar, growers should extend maturation for two months under MH/CMH 400-600W lights. During bloom, ExSitu recommends that both MH/CMH and HPS lights be utilized together. To finish the flowering stage, HPS lights are best.

When grown indoors, the average Jalalabad Star cultivar can stretch to a height of approximately 50". Growers can expect a luscious green plant overall, yet some will be lucky enough to reveal a phenotype that displays exceedingly deep green, almost black colored leaves. The best results in growing this cultivar can be expected when allowed a full four months to mature to harvest.

The effects of Jalalabad Star will provide a special kind of stone that can be described as psychedelic, and impressively powerful. Its beautiful honey colored flowers will invoke happiness and a general sense of well being. If given enough time to show itself at 100% growers will get a very special product to try, indeed.

~ Chitral Precious, or #2 ~

ExSitu presents the second offering of real old-time C. indica ssp. afghanica genetics. Also preserved since 1989 after Soviet army troops left Afghanistan, these seeds were originally collected in 1988 at Mingora Swat on the road to the Chitral, Pakistan border region.

Chitral Precious is a plant of a broad leaflet drug type. Its sweet scent can be described as both robust and strong. This cultivar is a little less pungent than ExSitu’s Jalalabad Star, but it is surely intense enough to capture anyone’s attention. When grown indoors, sufficient ventilation is still advised if concealment is of concern.

Though compact in structure with an average height of 40-50" when cultivated indoors, the Chitral Precious is a sturdy plant with wide fingered fans. Grown out, this is a highly attractive plant with profoundly deep green leaves that sometimes boast deep blue and black accents. Occasionally, the surface area of the leaves might even appear glossy.

In bloom, the Chitral Precious has a very pleasant scent reminiscent of both sticky caramel and fresh baked fancy bread. When consumed, her taste hits the palate with a succulent and savory bouquet of smoke that quickly intoxicates the senses.

As for the effects, this Afghani cultivar has a strong tendency to quiet a restless body and mind. An excellent choice if seeking sound rest in the evenings.

~ Pakistan Treasure, or #3 ~

The third cultivar ExSitu presents is Pakistan Treasure. This plant is the result of selections made over generations of pure genetics. The very first seeds of this cultivar originated by hashish producing families from the surrounding regions of Balochistan. They were obtained toward the end of the 1980s in the Khyber Pass area during several transits of miscellaneous goods from Pakistan to Afghanistan.

Of note is that this cultivar has two distinct phenotype expressions. Both of these Pakistan Treasure types are strong and vigorous plants, with dark green and thick overlapping leaflets. Although not inclined to large yields, these plants tend to get pungent quickly, often during early bloom into mid flowering. Flower maturity typically lasts a minimum of eight weeks. When grown outdoors, these cultivars can reach 50-60" in height. Indoors, it is possible to grow them short to 30-40" while still maintaining the benefits of a fully mature plant. A nice incentive for those with limited indoor space.

The flavor of Pakistan Treasure can generally be described as predominantly fruity with a perfume-like twist. However, the alternative phenotype with short stems and many branches tends to have a sweet fragrance of ginger root cuts in the very peak of flowering and have also been known to emit a gasoline-like scent. In general, the odor of either of these cultivar phenotypes is earthy at first then later evolves into a distinct sweetness.

User effects of this cultivar is a stone with a deep cerebral focus and may be defined as a predominately trippy head high. Its stone hits fast, lasts long, and can even be experienced when using its dried sugar leaves.

Pakistan Treasure, a cultivar consisting of two phenotypes, is presented for true lovers of hashish plants from the past and those who would like to experience them for the first time. By purchasing mixed seeds of Pakistan Treasure, a grower can realize both types at once and choose to keep one in favor of the other or both for future breeding.
